Project Overview

FLOR set out to rethink how customers design and purchase modular rugs and carpet tiles — shifting from static product selection to an interactive, design-led buying experience. CyberHULL partnered with FLOR to build a dedicated iPad application that combines ecommerce, product visualization, and an in-app design engine. The solution enables customers to experiment, design, preview, and order fully customized carpets built from 50×50 cm tiles — directly from a tablet interface. The result is a differentiated digital sales experience aligned with FLOR's innovation-driven brand.

Challenges

The key obstacles we needed to overcome to transform the digital experience.

Modular Product Model

Carpets sold as individual 50×50 cm tiles rather than fixed-size rugs.

Complex Visualization Needs

Customers needed a way to visualize complex layouts before purchasing.

Insufficient Traditional Flows

Traditional ecommerce flows were insufficient for free-form carpet design.

Inspiration + Precision

The buying experience had to support both inspiration and precision.

In-Store & Assisted Selling

Sales teams required a tool suitable for in-store and assisted selling.
